Job summary

Carlex Glass America, LLC in Nashville, TN is seeking a maintenance/electrical controls professional with 2+ years in engineering or robotics. You will troubleshoot PLCs (Rockwell, Mitsubishi), configure HMI systems, and program basic Fanuc robot functions to keep production running smoothly.

You will also train electricians, coordinate engineering tasks, and participate in commissioning and start-up activities.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a relevant field.
2+ years in Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical role.
Regular and predictable attendance and teamwork.
Overtime may be required, including weekends and holidays.
Understanding of manufacturing interfaces between the glass process, the controls, and the robotics.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot PLC systems (Rockwell, Mitsubishi).
Program and troubleshoot Fanuc robots at a basic level.
Configure and troubleshoot servo and VFD systems (SEW, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi).
Configure and troubleshoot HMI systems.
Train and assist electricians to troubleshoot, repair, replace, and commission all electrical control devices.
Coordinate engineering project work with team members.
Engage in project commissioning and start-up activities.
Troubleshoot automation systems and support other electrical/controls tasks as needed.
Root cause analysis of severe downtime incidents.
