Job summary
TE Connectivity is seeking Automation & Controls Engineers to design, develop, and deploy automated manufacturing systems in Webster, NY, with transition to Rochester. Roles include Senior, Engineer II, and Staff levels, focusing on control architectures, robotics, and machine vision for optical connectivity products.
You will work across engineering teams to improve throughput, quality, and scalability, supporting Lean and Operational Excellence initiatives while ensuring safety and compliance
Qualifications
- BS or higher in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics or related field.
- Hands-on experience designing, programming, commissioning or supporting automation and controls systems.
- Experience with PLCs, motion control, robotics, machine vision, and industrial networking.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy automated manufacturing systems and control architectures.
- Develop PLC, motion control, robotics, and HMI software for manufacturing processes.
- Integrate electrical hardware, sensors, actuators, and software controls into robust solutions.
- Lead automation development from concept through commissioning for new processes and products.
- Identify opportunities to improve cycle time, yield, uptime, and equipment effectiveness.
