Job summary

Hargrove Controls + Automation, LLC is seeking an automation engineer to design and implement DCS/PLC/HMI/SIS systems for industrial projects. You will assist in larger projects and may lead smaller automation tasks, providing on-site startup support and technical guidance to junior staff.

The role requires a degree in engineering and relevant industry experience, with a focus on maintaining maintainable control systems and delivering client-ready documentation.

Qualifications

Experience implementing ISA S88, IEC 61131 and ISA S84 standards.
Understanding of OSHA 1910.119 Management of Change is required.
Experience with DCS/PLC/HMI/SIS systems or strong equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

Perform routine design of less complex automation assignments for DCS/PLC/HMI/SIS.
Assist in design of larger projects and lead smaller automation tasks.
Provide on-site startup support and technical guidance.
Coordinate work with staff and office leaders to meet schedules.
Produce control system installation specifications and drawings.
Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for small projects.
