Job summary

Gulftech International seeks an Automation & Controls Engineer to design and manage machine control systems for food processing equipment in washdown environments, including PLC/PCB hardware, motor and pneumatic controls, vision systems, cabling and networking.

This role collaborates with engineering teams and customers, travels up to 15% domestically and internationally, and supports commissioning, documentation, and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; equivalent combinations accepted.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
• Food processing experience is a plus.
• 5+ years of programming PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs and SQL.
• Detail-oriented, analytical with leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design automation processes for high yield and quality food products.
• Develop concepts to improve machinery and processes.
• Communicate with customers and staff on automation issues.
• Develop training plans for automation technology released to production.
• Support customer issues remotely as needed.
• Assist in PLC and HMI standardization and commissioning.
