Job summary

M4 Control Systems LLC is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to support design, programming, testing, startup, and commissioning of automation projects for the food and dairy industry. The role involves PLC programming, HMI development, and documentation across multiple projects, with frequent collaboration with customers and project teams.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in industrial automation, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work both independently and in teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
• Working knowledge of engineering, programming, and implementation of industrial control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, technical documents, and process information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customers and team collaboration.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and multi-project handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for customer projects.
• Develop and modify HMI applications for industrial control systems.
• Prepare electrical and control system documentation including layouts, diagrams, and schematics.
• Participate in planning, programming, testing, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and support.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, engineers, technicians, and team members to implement automation solutions.
• Configure and support control system networks and related hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation and electrical issues onsite or remotely.
• Maintain project documentation and operating information.
