Job summary

Gulfco Manufacturing seeks an Automation Engineering Technician to build, test, and modify electronic and electro‑mechanical systems. The role requires hands‑on experience with Beckhoff, WAGO, and Allen‑Bradley platforms and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams.

You will assemble panels, troubleshoot, program PLCs/HMIs, support prototypes, and assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment. Travel to job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Electronics/Electrical technician roles.
• Experience with industrial automation and PLC programming.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and BOMs.
• Soldering, board assembly, and diagnostics expertise.
• Familiarity with 480V electrical systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and test electronic circuits and control panels.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and drives.
• Configure software, field hardware, and network connectivity.
• Support prototype builds, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams.
