Job summary
Gulftech International is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to design and manage machine control systems for food processing equipment in washdown environments. You will develop PLC/PCB hardware and software, motor and pneumatic controls, vision systems, cabling, interlocks, and networking, plus maintain schematics and compiled code.
The role requires collaboration with engineering and production teams, travel up to 15%, and a strong background in electrical engineering and automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.
- 5+ years of PLC, HMI, SCADA programming experience.
- Food processing experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Design automation processes for high yield and quality food products.
- Develop concepts to improve machinery and processes.
- Communicate automation issues with customers and staff.
- Develop training plans for automation technology released to production.
- Support customer issues remotely as needed.
- Assist in budgeting and new product development activities.
