Job summary

Gulftech International is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to design and manage machine control and safety systems for food processing equipment. You will develop PLC/PCB hardware and software, motor and pneumatic controls, vision systems, wiring, and schematics.

The role requires 5+ years in PLC/HMI/SCADA, VFDs, and SQL, plus travel readiness. Collaboration with mechanical engineers and budgeting responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
• Food Processing experience is a plus.
• 5+ years of programming PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFD, and SQL.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license and passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Design automation processes for high yield and quality food products.
• Develop concepts to improve machinery and processes.
• Collaborate with customers and staff on automation issues.
• Support remote customer issues with A&C Manager.
• Assist in PLC/HMI standardization and new product development.
• Budget hours for A&C NPD activities and coordinate with Supply Chain.
