Job summary

JTM Food Group in Harrison, OH is seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer for the 3rd shift to design, develop, implement, troubleshoot, and continuously improve industrial automation and control systems in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.

You will work hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, instrumentation, and networking, collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and vendors to boost reliability, reduce downtime, and support capital projects and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronics or related field.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Design, program, commission, troubleshoot, and improve automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs).
Develop electrical/control designs with schematics and safety circuits per NEC/NFPA.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, IT/OT, and vendors to resolve issues and improve performance.
Support capital projects from design to startup and commissioning.
Develop and maintain automation standards and documentation.
