Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking an Automation Controls Technician to bring automation to life on the manufacturing floor. The role designs, programs, maintains, and optimizes automated and robotic systems to keep operations running efficiently and reliably.

You will partner with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot control processes, and support new technology implementations. The position is 3rd shift, 10:00-6:30am, with responsibilities spanning installation to preventive maintenance and continuous

Qualifications

8+ years in industrial automation, controls systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting in food manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, robotics and control systems.
Certifications such as CAP or Fanuc CSE are advantageous.
Maintain Perdue Farms QEW Certification.
Willingness to continuous learning and improvement.
Fanuc Master Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and implement automated control systems on the plant floor.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues in automated/robotic equipment.
Maintain and inspect control systems and equipment; document changes.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design automation solutions.
Test and calibrate instrumentation and control devices to ensure accuracy.
Install and commission industrial robots androbotic systems (PLCs and HMIs).
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards for robotic equipment.
Mentor Maintenance Technicians and support operators on system usage.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
