Job summary

1440 Foods is seeking a Controls Technician for the 2nd shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM) to install, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems in our food manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA to improve uptime, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities include configuring systems, diagnosing issues, performing maintenance, documenting changes, and collaborating with engineering and production on control solutions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Controls Technician in food manufacturing or related industries.
• Experience with robotics and automation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain control systems, including PLCs and HMI software.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on control equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to design and implement control solutions that enhance efficiency and quality.
• Document system modifications, maintenance activities, and standard operating procedures.
• Train staff on control system operations and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
• Assist in the development of project specifications and timelines.
