Job summary

Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY is seeking a Control Technician to join our ESTAR Manufacturing Operations. You will support operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of instrumentation and process control systems to help meet production goals.

You will collaborate with operations, process engineers, and maintenance, provide lifecycle support for control systems, and contribute to reliability and safety improvements across the plant.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electro-Mechanical tech.
• Knowledge of Rockwell Automation PLCs and DCS.
• Strong communication skills across operators, mechanics, engineers, and management.
• Familiarity with Rockwell VFDs and their configuration.
• Ability to work independently and influence others.
• Ability to lead and participate on teams, including outside contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of manufacturing instrumentation and process control systems.
• Collaborate with operations, process engineers, and maintenance to understand business needs and priorities.
• Provide full lifecycle support of control systems, including requirements, programming, commissioning, and ongoing hardware/software maintenance.
• Support upgrade projects for Reliance Automax system architectures and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide hardware and integration support for Ethernet-based control systems in the plant IT environment.
• Work with maintenance to develop data-driven reliability improvements and troubleshoot control systems.
• Implement improvements in system capabilities to meet customer requirements and ensure safe, reliable operations.
