Job summary

Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY is seeking a Control System Engineer to join our Film Finishing Operations team at Eastman Business Park.

You will support the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of manufacturing instrumentation and process control systems in a highly automated environment, collaborating with operations, process engineers and maintenance staff to align with business needs and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Technology (Mechatronics).
• Knowledge of Rockwell Automation PLCs and drive systems.
• Strong communication with operators, maintenance, process engineers, staff, and management.
• Knowledge of Rockwell VFDs and their application.
• Ability to complete work independently and through influence.
• Ability to lead and participate on teams, including outside contractors.
• Ability to configuring, documenting and troubleshooting control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of manufacturing instrumentation and process control systems.
• Collaborate with operations, process engineers and maintenance to understand business needs and priorities.
• Provide full life cycle support of control systems including requirements, programming, commissioning, and ongoing hardware/software maintenance.
• Support upgrade projects for Rockwell Automation PLC-based control systems and related drive systems.
• Provide hardware and integration support for Ethernet-based control systems in the plant IT environment.
• Work with maintenance to develop data-driven reliability improvements and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Lead capital system improvements and software upgrades for automated equipment.
• Implement system improvements to meet customer requirements, safety and reliability, using Six Sigma.
