Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in King of Prussia, PA, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead automation and controls projects for manufacturing clients. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and drive execution from design through delivery.

The role emphasizes hands-on PLC/HMI/SCADA development, client relations, and staff mentorship within a fast-growing practice. Domestic travel is required and candidates with a BS in electrical engineering are preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years creating automation solutions for industrial design projects.
Experience designing electrical control systems and programming automation for process applications.
Strong knowledge of Rockwell hardware/software; experience with Siemens/AVEVA/GE platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage project tasks including hardware and panel design, PLC and HMI programming, SCADA design, and power distribution.
Oversee project execution: proposals, estimates, scheduling, resources, finances, staffing, contracts, quality control, and client satisfaction.
Foster growth of the controls & automation business and maintain key client relationships.
Mentor professionals and provide feedback, training, and career development guidance.
Coordinate reporting to partners and ensure proper activity reporting with finance.
