Job summary

BOS Innovations in Lexington, KY is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Engineer to identify and develop new opportunities for industrial automation solutions across North America.

You will build strong customer relationships, pursue new markets, manage RFQs, and work with engineering teams to deliver technically sound proposals. Travel is required to cover the Southern United States and Canada.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in business development or technical sales in industrial automation.
• Proven success opening new accounts and growing relationships in assigned territories.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation environments and RFQs.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow new business opportunities by selling BOS engineering and automation solutions.
• Maintain and expand assigned and target accounts, building new relationships.
• Register and manage RFQs, track orders, and contribute to revenue targets.
• Collaborate with VP of Sales, engineering, and applications teams on proposals.
• Lead customer discussions, negotiations, and final sale closures.
