Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in the United States and Canada is seeking a Business Development Manager, Automation to drive growth in automation solutions. You\'ll combine engineering knowledge with sales to identify opportunities and expand adoption of robot guidance, vision inspection, and manufacturing automation.

This hybrid role requires 3+ years in industrial automation, strong consultative selling, and collaboration across sales, marketing, project, and service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation or business development.
• Knowledge of robot programming, PLCs, MES, and vision systems.
• Experience building value propositions and business cases.
• Strong selling, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% (US & Canada).

Responsibilities

• Develop new automation business and strategic customer opportunities.
• Identify customer needs and propose value-driven automation solutions.
• Lead opportunities from discovery through proposals and order conversion.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM and forecasts.
• Support and train sales teams through joint visits and reviews.
• Collaborate with customers, integrators, partners, and internal teams to deliver solutions.
