Job summary

Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives across manufacturing lines. The role focuses on developing roadmaps with IIoT, robotics, and SCADA to boost performance and reduce downtime.

You will oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, manage budgets, timelines, and essential documentation, and mentor engineering staff. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of related experience and 4+ years of leadership experience or GED with 9+ years and 6+ years leadership.
• Preferred Master’s Degree in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation roadmaps including IIoT, robotics, and SCADA to improve manufacturing performance.
• Oversee project lifecycles from concept to commissioning, including budgets, timelines and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and support PLCs, robotics, and control systems to reduce downtime.
• Implement continuous improvement to enhance process robustness, efficiency, and safety.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop engineering personnel.
• Ensure all automation meets food safety, sanitary design, and regulatory requirements.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automation roadmaps, including IIoT, robotics, and SCADA systems, to improve manufacturing performance

• Troubleshoot and support PLCs, robotics, and control systems, reducing downtime and resolving technical issues

• Ensure all automation systems meet food safety, sanitary design, and regulatory requirements
• Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:
