Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to own preventive and diagnostic maintenance of production equipment. You will ensure safe, efficient, high-uptime operations.

You’ll install, maintain, repair production machinery and facility systems; troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues; program robots and automation; and perform TPM with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance or technical field.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; automation background preferred.
• Knowledge of PLCs and electrical distribution; LOTO familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Program and optimize robots and automation; work with PLCs and controls.
• Execute TPM on shop equipment and contribute to continuous improvement.

Role Purpose

Own the preventive and diagnostic maintenance of production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-uptime operations.

What You’ll Tackle

• Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Program and optimize robots and automation; work with PLCs and controls
• Execute TPM on shop equipment and contribute to continuous improvement
• Interpret manuals and blueprints to plan and perform service
• Use hand/power tools, meters, and material handling equipment effectively
• Assist with new equipment installs and machine enhancements
• Comply with OSHA and company safety procedures; perform other duties as assigned

What You Need

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Experience in industrial maintenance, technical field, or technical schooling
• Strength in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; automation background a plus
• Knowledge of standard PM practices
• Skilled with tools, shop equipment, and PPE
• Metalworking capability: cutting, welding, drilling, tapping
• Working knowledge of PLCs and relay logic; hydraulics/pneumatics; electrical distribution and LOTO
• Prior air compressor maintenance experience is a plus
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb; lift/move up to 50 lbs
