Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the NSWC Dahlgren Division SLBM team on-site in Dahlgren, VA. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and detailed test plans mapped to requirements, and execute both manual and automated testing across multiple levels.

Expect collaboration with developers and government customers, and strong emphasis on requirements traceability. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in software/systems testing, proficiency in test automation

Qualifications

2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
Comfortable reviewing C++ code and using Linux systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
Write detailed test plans, descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, system-level).
Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
Interface with government customers daily; occasionally present testing documentation.
