Job summary

Multimatic is seeking a manufacturing operator to perform machine operation, setup, and changeover in a busy facility in Indiana. You will maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all company policies and procedures.

You will review process books daily, implement changes, troubleshoot equipment, and assist trades with repairs and PM tasks. Forklift operation and willingness to participate in ongoing training are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Follow all established company policies and procedures.
• Perform all functions of machine operation, setup, and changeover.
• Keep machines in good working order and communicate clearly to your supervisor.
• Review process book daily for quality or process changes and implement countermeasures.
• Butt weld and load new coils on applicable equipment safely.
• Make tooling adjustments and tooling changes as needed.
• Re-teach/touch up robotic points as required.
• Troubleshoot, perform minor machine/tool repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Assist skilled trades with troubleshooting, machine repair, die repair, and PM tasks.
• Assist other automated operators with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain real-time production and quality reporting; ensure logs are accurate.
• Participate in corrective action or continuous improvement activities.
• Safely and efficiently perform all assignments and meet quality standards.
• Be available for future training and operate forklift at level 4 or above.
• Perform loading, unloading, and assembly operations as required by the machine.
• Train future individuals in this position as needed.
