Major Tool & Machine, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks a Material Handler/Forklift Operator for 2nd or 3rd shift to move, lift, and position loads using forklifts and overhead cranes. The role supports machine shop activities and requires adherence to safety policies.

The candidate will assist in receiving, inventorying, and distributing metal parts, coordinating with production teams, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Qualifications

• Educational background includes high school diploma or GED.
• Experience operating forklifts and cranes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and cranes to move, lift, and stack materials.
• Transport loads to designated areas and assist in machine setup.
• Unload, inspect, and deliver metal parts to machining areas.
• Maintain cleaning and organization of work areas and stations.
• Coordinate with supervisors and colleagues to receive instructions.
• Maintain safety and report hazards; ensure barcodes signed off.
