Job summary

Grainger is seeking a DC Tech Level II in Minooka, IL to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on automated material handling systems. You will report to a supervisor and work on conveyors, shuttles, and related assets in a large automated Distribution Center.

Required experience includes 1+ year in building and equipment maintenance, CMMS proficiency, and knowledge of MEP concepts. The role demands physical work with heavy lifting and use of various tools, and offers consistent wage with

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of building and equipment maintenance experience.
Familiarity with CMMS software and safe work practices including LOTO.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatic concepts.
Ability to read MEP drawings and schematics.
Proficient with electrical meters and common hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on conveyors, sorters, shuttles, and related assets.
Respond to calls for assistance with equipment issues and outages.
Complete assigned projects to support Operations.
Carry out general building repairs and equipment maintenance.
Enter daily maintenance activity in CMMS.
Collaborate with contractors and Facilities personnel.
Maintain all fleet and associate assets within the DC.
