Job summary

Actalent seeks a Controls Technician to support troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of automated manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced facility in Byesville, OH. You will diagnose PLC systems, support HMI programming, and perform preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability.

Responsibilities include PLC and electrical troubleshooting, commissioning new equipment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting on AB and Siemens platforms.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on with ladder logic, HMI, and industrial automation controls.
• Experience with conveyors, packaging equipment, and high-speed production lines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair PLC-controlled equipment to ensure reliable operation of lines.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting on AB and Siemens platforms, review ladder logic and fault codes.
• Support PLC and HMI programming to optimize machine performance and implement changes.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics, including panels, sensors, motors, and distribution.
