Cordant Health Solutions in Flagstaff, AZ seeks a Chemistry Lab Technician – Laboratory Operations to support daily chemistry workflows, load specimens on automated instrumentation, calibrate instruments, perform QC review, and maintain accurate records in a high‑volume lab.

Eligible candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a science field, have data entry skills, good hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Job Details

Job Location: Flagstaff - Flagstaff, AZ 86004

Title: Chemistry Lab Technician – Laboratory Operations (Flagstaff, AZ)

Shift & Pay

Shift: M-F 2pm - 11pm

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Shift Differential: Additional $2.00/hour for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM

Primary Responsibilities

• Load specimens using automated chemistry instrumentation
• Assist with instrument calibration, quality control (QC) review, and initial analytical review
• Document preparations to fulfill compliance requirements
• Perform routine operations, including start‑of‑day equipment initiation and verification of calibrations, controls, reagents, and reagent levels
• Prepare and restock reagents and buffers as needed
• Review test results for release; document discrepancies, exceptions, and unusual trends; research and rectify errors
• Assist with maintaining adequate inventory of laboratory supplies
• Maintain accurate records associated with specimen preparation, including proper chain of custody handling and storage requirements
• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and decontamination procedures
• Maintain strict safeguards related to Protected Health Information (PHI)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical/Pre‑Medical, Forensics, or Toxicology) – required
• Laboratory experience – preferred
• Data entry skills (alpha and numeric keyboarding) – required
• Strong hand‑eye coordination – required
• Ability to work in a high‑volume environment while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy – required
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend, and carry as needed
