Tectonic is excited to offer an excellent growth opportunity for a full-time AutoCAD Technician with AutoCAD drafting experience to join our Land Surveying Department based within our Orange County, NY office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Essential functions of this position include performing reduction of survey field data, photographs, and sketches, the calculations of and analysis of field data to develop detailed technical survey plans, and preparation of survey maps, including boundary and topographic surveys, plans, cross sections, and profiles using CADD methods. Additional duties include communicating with project managers, surveyors, and colleagues to modify drawings in accordance with project specifications, and printing, copying, scanning, and organizing CADD drawings. Occasional site visits may be required from time to time.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD 2024 is desired, with moderate program proficiency; 3D modeling experience a plus;

  • Land Surveying experience is strongly preferred;

  • HS Diploma/equivalent required; Associate's Degree or Certificate Program in Architecture, Drafting, or similar is a plus;

  • Must be detail oriented, with effective written and verbal communication skills;

  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;

  • Valid, clean driver's license.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to assume a stationary position, handle, inspect, and/or feel documents, materials and/or equipment relevant to the job and communicate about same. The employee will also need to process manual and computer generated documents, and will be required to communicate using the Corporate e-mail and telephone systems. In accordance with the level of visual detail required for this position, close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required for this position. They may be occasionally required to move around on a job-site, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning themselves appropriately to obtain necessary specifications. The employee may be occasionally required to lift and/or move equipment and materials up to 10 lbs. This position may involve occasionally operating a motor-vehicle, which may require assuming a stationary position for extended periods of time.

PAY RANGE


Tectonic's goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.


Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00 / hour
