Actalent in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a CAD Detailer for joist and steel deck design. You will convert customer drawings into precise AutoCAD 2D detail drawings and support the project lifecycle from design to delivery.

The role balances hands-on drafting with coordination with internal teams and customers to resolve design issues and secure approvals. You will work on multiple projects concurrently, using a proprietary AutoCAD 2D addin for joist and deck design, and participate in drawing

• Hands-on AutoCAD 2D drafting experience in construction or structural engineering.
• Ability to multitask across multiple projects with strong organization.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain quality drawings.
• Accountable to metrics, deadlines, and accuracy of drawings.
• Collaborative style in team-based detailing and design efforts.
• Able to learn and use proprietary design tools.

Responsabilités

• Transform drawings into precise AutoCAD 2D detail drawings for joist and steel deck systems.
• Create complete manufacturing plans and documentation for fabrication and delivery.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Use a proprietary AutoCAD 2D addin to support joist and deck design workflows.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to resolve design issues and approvals.
• Review drawings to ensure they meet structural load requirements and specs.
• Participate in internal drawing checks and implement feedback.
• Support problem solving for design conflicts and schedule constraints.
• Maintain organization to track status, documentation, and approvals.
