Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented candidate to produce accurate fabrication bills of material and erection plans for New Millennium products. The role requires preparing joist and deck layout plans using AutoCAD, coordinating project details with clients and engineers, and handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal applicant will have good communication skills, CAD-related degrees or experience, and a willingness to assist colleagues to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent with AutoCAD.
• Ability to visualize how elements fit together in 3D.
• Willingness to assist co-workers and customers.
• CAD related degrees and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare joist and deck layout plans using AutoCAD.
• Prepare RFI’s and coordinate project details with stakeholders.
• Calculate joist and girder loading based on contract documents.
• Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Meet schedules for assigned projects.

Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Education
