Job summary

CMT Technical Services is seeking a Survey Draftsman to join our surveying team in West Valley City, Utah. The role focuses on producing accurate survey drawings, plats, exhibits, and mapping deliverables for transportation, municipal, and land development projects.

The ideal candidate will have AutoCAD Civil 3D expertise, hands-on survey data processing, and a solid understanding of surveying principles and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of survey drafting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Familiarity with survey calculations and boundary analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare topographic, boundary, ALTA surveys and plats.
• Process field data from GPS and total stations.
• Develop survey base maps and project drawings with Civil 3D.
• Support with legal descriptions and easement exhibits.
• Coordinate with crews, PMs, engineers, and clients.
• Review data for quality and maintain drafting standards.
• Assist with exhibits, staking docs, and as-built drawings.
• Maintain organized project files and QC reviews.
