Job summary

FOCUS Consulting seeks in-office CAD drafters for long-term, career-minded roles to support site civil, site grading, survey, and architectural projects in Utah. The team emphasizes customer service, collaboration, and adherence to CAD drafting standards.

Qualifications

• We welcome degreed, certified, and licensed applicants with relevant experience, and also consider capable newcomers to our industry.
• Must be able to follow FOCUS CAD drafting standards and procedures with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in office (no remote option) and communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide general CAD drafting and design support for engineers, architectural design, surveying, and land planning to produce varied design drawings.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to clients.
• Organize information to create final construction drawing packages.
• Ensure design deliverables meet municipal codes and requirements.
• Adopt and apply the defined quality control review process to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Be the client’s advocate to help navigate municipality approvals.
• Build relationships with project managers and professional engineers to collaborate and solve problems.
• Coordinate with a variety of individuals involved in the development process with clear communication.
• May perform administrative tasks, such as copying and delivering submittals.
• Participate in department goal setting and personal/team development.
