ESP Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil CAD Drafter / Civil 3D Technician to support a growing civil engineering and land development team.

This role involves preparing and modifying civil construction drawings, developing grading and drainage plans, and creating plan sets from concepts through final documents. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, surveyors, and the design team across Midland, Houston, and Utah.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional CAD drafting/design experience in civil engineering, land development, or a closely related field.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience preparing civil engineering construction plan sets.
• Experience with grading, paving, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and site development plans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify civil construction drawings and site development plans.
• Develop grading, paving, utility, drainage, erosion control, demolition, and infrastructure improvement plans.
• Develop construction plan sets from preliminary concepts through final construction documents.
• Prepare plan and profile sheets for roadways, water lines, sanitary sewer systems, and storm drainage systems.
• Create and maintain Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, feature lines, corridors, and pipe networks.
• Import and process survey information and existing-condition data.
• Coordinate survey base files with proposed engineering designs.
• Assist with grading design, drainage layouts, utility routing, roadway geometry, and site development layouts.
• Prepare permitting exhibits, construction details, quantity exhibits, and easement exhibits.
• Incorporate engineering revisions, municipal review comments, client feedback, and field information into construction documents.
• Perform internal QA/QC reviews.
• Identify potential utility, grading, drainage, and constructability conflicts.
• Manage multiple assignments and project deadlines.

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil CAD Drafter / Civil 3D Technician to support a growing civil engineering and land development team.

This position is ideal for an experienced Civil 3D professional who understands how complete civil construction plans come together—not simply a production drafter.

You'll support residential, commercial, municipal, industrial, and infrastructure projects while working closely with engineers, project managers, surveyors, and other members of the design team.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and modify civil construction drawings and site development plans.

What We're Looking For

• Working knowledge of Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, points, and data management.

• Ability to take an engineering concept or redline and develop it into a professional construction drawing.

• Strong understanding of drafting standards, drawing organization, scales, sheet layouts, and construction plan presentation.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or conflicts.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers, surveyors, and project managers.

Preferred Experience

• Residential subdivision and commercial land development

• Roadway, water, wastewater, and storm drainage construction documents

• Texas municipal development standards and permitting

• Civil 3D data shortcuts, corridors, assemblies, grading tools, and pipe networks

• Coordination between civil, surveying, architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines

• Understanding of construction practices and constructability
