Job summary

Intertek USA in Kentwood, Michigan is seeking a Vehicle Test Fit Technician to work with our Transportation Technologies Team in the automotive testing lab. You will assist with vehicle test fits for the APC Department and document accurate test results for customers.

You will fit body panels and lighting systems, evaluate versions for fit and appearance, complete all paperwork on time, and communicate progress to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASE certification may be pursued after onboarding.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Experience with measuring devices and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vehicle test fits on panels and lighting systems.
• Evaluate fit, appearance and functional comparability of body panels.
• Accurately complete documentation and enter data for customers.
• Provide input to management and customers as needed.
• Organize daily workload and inform on turnaround times and status.
• Meet project, department, and customer deadlines.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Transport vehicles or parts to and from the lab.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
