What You'll Do as an Auto Technician
Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, and drivability issues.
- Troubleshoot vehicle performance concerns and complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
- Identify potential maintenance issues before they lead to major repairs.
- Replace and repair components to maximize vehicle performance and reliability.
Fleet Support & Operations
- Maintain accurate service records, repair orders, and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure fleet vehicles remain compliant with company safety requirements.
- Work closely with management and operations teams to prioritize repairs and reduce vehicle downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Help prepare vehicles for daily operation and service readiness.
- Support preventative maintenance programs that improve fleet performance and longevity.

Qualifications of an Auto Technician:
Required
- Previous experience as an Auto Technician, Automotive Mechanic, Fleet Technician, Diesel Technician, or related position.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused.
- Valid driver's license required.
Preferred
- ASE Certifications or equivalent technical certifications.
- Experience working with fleet vehicles, taxis, vans, or commercial transportation vehicles.
- Knowledge of computerized diagnostic equipment and repair software.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
