Job summary

zTrip, the largest taxi transportation network in North America, seeks a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our taxi fleet, keeping vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for daily service.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, and keep detailed service records. A valid driver’s license is required; ASE certification is a plus for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Fleet Mechanic, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, preventative maintenance).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and operating issues on fleet vehicles.
• Complete safety inspections to ensure compliance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspections, and repair documentation.
• Assist in prioritizing repairs with operations to minimize downtime.

We're looking for a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to help maintain and repair our fleet of taxi vehicles. In this critical role, you'll ensure our vehicles remain safe, efficient, and ready to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

What You'll Do as a Fleet Mechanic:

As a Fleet Mechanic, you'll perform maintenance and repairs that keep our vehicles operating at peak performance while minimizing downtime.

Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and operating issues on fleet vehicles
• Troubleshoot vehicle performance concerns and complete repairs efficientlyConduct comprehensive safety inspections to ensure compliance and vehicle reliability
• Identify potential problems before they become major repairs

Fleet Support

• Maintain accurate service records, inspections, and repair documentation
• Ensure vehicles meet company safety and operational standards
• Work closely with operations staff to prioritize repairs and minimize vehicle downtime
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support fleet readiness to ensure vehicles are available for daily service

What We're Looking for as an Auto Mechanic:

• Previous experience as a Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Fleet Mechanic, or similar role
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable work ethic and positive attitude
• Valid driver's license required
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required
