Job summary

Pep Boys seeks a General Service Technician in Knoxville, TN to perform basic automotive services including tire care, oil changes, and inspections while delivering excellent customer experiences.

You will work in the tire and service department, maintain a clean, safe workspace, and may advise customers on services and repairs that are recommended for their vehicles, contributing to team goals and store success.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Passion for a career as an automotive technician.
• Eager to learn and motivated to succeed in a fast-paced shop.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Willingness to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems (brakes, alignments, suspensions).
• Stay up-to-date with new automotive tech through training sessions.
• Perform oil changes and tire maintenance.
• Assist with installing batteries, headlights, tires and wiper blades.
• Stock and unload tires; assist other technicians as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Adhere to company policies and safety rules.
