Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a General Service Technician to assist with basic automotive services, tire maintenance, and oil changes while ensuring a positive customer experience. You will help diagnose and repair minor issues, maintain a clean work area, and support senior technicians as needed.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, willingness to learn, and availability to work varying shifts, including weekends. Applicable safety and environmental rules apply.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Must be 18 years or older.
Willingness to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.
Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems (brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, electrical).
Continuously learn through formal training to stay current with automotive tech.
Change engine oil and filter.
Install and perform tire maintenance and repairs.
Install batteries; check starting/charging systems; headlights.
