Job summary

Pep Boys Careers is hiring a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services such as mounting and balancing tires, oil changes, and vehicle inspections while ensuring a positive customer experience.

You will also help diagnose common issues, advise customers on needed services, and maintain a clean, safety-focused shop environment. Training provided, with flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Passion for a career as an automotive technician.
• Eager to learn and driven to succeed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Continuously learn new technical information in formal training sessions.
• Perform oil changes and filter replacements.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems.
• Install headlights and other bulbs.
