Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company, a Break Time retailer and Big O Tires franchise operator in Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas, seeks a Big O General Service Technician. You will service and install tires and vehicle fluids, greet customers, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

Strong communication and a willingness to learn are essential. In this role, you will work outdoors in various weather, require a valid driver's license, and comply with PPE rules.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years or older with parental consent
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
• Ability to operate a computer and office productivity machines
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to communicate accurately with customers and coworkers
• Ability to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor weather
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment screenings
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter, lubricate vehicles, install tires and balance wheels
• Unload tires, merchandise, and supplies from trucks and deliveries
• Inspect tires and dispose or store properly
• Clean facilities and stock shelves
• Provide fast and friendly customer service
• Explain the benefits of services and products to promote sales
• Perform pricing, promotions, and suggestive selling per policy
• Maintain Big O Tires store appearance and safety standards
• Safely operate customer vehicles in service areas
• Complete required trainings and keep supervisor informed
• Assist in training new employees and follow company policies
