Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company operates a Big O Tires Store in Independence, Missouri. We are seeking a General Service Technician to perform vehicle maintenance, tire services, and customer-focused duties in a fast-paced environment.

You will unload merchandise, assist customers, and maintain store appearance while adhering to safety and company policies. Valid license and ability to pass screenings are required.

Qualifications

• 17 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to exchange accurate information with customers
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to meet pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter, lubricate vehicles, install/rotate/balance tires and torque wheels
• Unload tires and merchandise from transport trucks
• Inspect disposed tires and dispose properly
• Clean facilities and stock shelves
• Greet customers and provide fast, friendly service
• Explain benefits of services and products to customers to promote sales
• Perform pricing, promotions, and suggestive selling per policy
• Maintain store appearance per Big O Tires standards
• Safely operate customer vehicles in service areas
• Complete daily training and report maintenance issues
• Assist in training new employees
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
