Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a customer-focused Service Desk Associate to engage customers, explain automotive services, and drive parts and service sales at the front of the house.

As a frontline team member, you will handle appointments, assist at the register, and maintain a clean, safe shop while delivering a high standard of customer care. Experience in automotive environment is preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• One year of related experience in automotive service.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic math to calculate commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for customers by phone and in-store, engaging and selling parts/services.
• Manage service desk transactions and keep work orders accurate.
• Support management with customer care, and store operations.
• Follow all cash, credit, refund policies and address service issues.
• Perform routine express automotive services (tire mounting, oil changes, etc.).
• Maintain safety procedures and proper vehicle service per SOP.
• Assist in opening/closing duties and keep the shop organized.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
