Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) seeks a service manager/writer to lead auto service teams, manage technician relations, and oversee parts purchases. The role emphasizes customer interaction, quality control, and sales collaboration in a fast-paced retail service environment.

Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of auto service experience, 1 year in a supervisory role, and the ability to recruit and train technicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years auto service technical experience.
• 1 year of service manager or service writer experience.
• Ability to recruit technicians and lead teams.
• Willingness to continue education and stay current in automotive repair issues.

Responsibilities

• Assign and schedule work duties to auto service staff according to individual skill level.
• Serve all automotive service needs of customers.
• Oversee the hiring and training of an effective auto service team.
• Ensure high teammate retention.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards.
• Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and retention by managing customer interactions, including proactive communication and follow-up.
• Act as primary contact for customer inquiries, feedback and concerns to foster long-term relationships.
• Understand store operations and paperwork, financial transactions and policy adherence to improve efficiency.
• Drive sales through proactive customer interactions and vehicle inspections, coordinating front/back shop communication.
• Provide insights to the front of the shop to boost product and service sales.
