Job summary

Nelson Mazda Murfreesboro is seeking a Service Assistant to join our dealership in Murfreesboro, TN. This full-time, hourly position focuses on delivering a welcoming, organized experience for every service customer from arrival through vehicle delivery.

You will work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, and the Service Manager to greet customers, assist with check-in, scheduling, and updates, and maintain a clean, customer-focused service drive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet service customers promptly and professionally.
• Assist with check-in and vehicle drop-off.
• Direct customers to the correct Service Advisor or service lane.
• Monitor waiting area and ensure comfort and informed status.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors on arrivals, status, and ETA.
• Provide updates to customers regarding vehicle status.
• Assist with scheduling and confirming service appointments.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming service drive and waiting area.
• Assist with questions about dealership processes and services.
• Support daily administrative and customer-experience tasks.
