Job summary

Ports America in Morristown, NJ seeks a Director, Auto RoRo Commercial to develop and execute the Auto RoRo strategy, strengthen senior-level customer relationships, and align commercial priorities with operations.

You will lead pricing and contract discussions, pursue new business opportunities, travel about 50% domestically with some international trips, and represent Ports America at industry events to expand the network and grow account value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive Auto RoRo/stevedoring or automotive logistics experience.
• Experience in labor-based operating environments and collaboration with operations leadership.
• P&L or financial management experience, pricing and contract economics knowledge.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners and senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to analyze operational and financial data to identify trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with Auto RoRo customers (carriers, lines, partners).
• Act as a commercial/operational partner to customer stakeholders and Ports America leaders.
• Support and execute the Auto RoRo commercial strategy and translate priorities into opportunities.
• Identify, evaluate and pursue new business opportunities across Auto RoRo markets.
• Assist in pricing, proposals, contract discussions, negotiations and closing.
• Collaborate with regional GMs and operations to align customer strategy with execution.
• Plan and facilitate quarterly reviews with GMs/Operations to track KPIs and actions.
• Leverage performance data and customer feedback to improve service delivery and commercial results.
