Job summary

CarMax in Salisbury, MD is seeking an Auto Repair Specialist I to perform diagnostic, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs on customer and internal vehicles. You will ensure safety and quality standards while delivering exceptional service throughout the repair process.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications in Steering & Suspension, Brakes, Heating/Cooling, Electrical, Engine Repair, Drive Train & Axles, Engine Performance, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2–A8) as required by state laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostics and complete mechanical and cosmetic repairs on all vehicle systems.
• Inspect vehicles to meet CarMax Quality Standards and complete required state inspections.
• Manage repair orders including labor, parts, and billing documentation.
• Utilize CarMax proprietary and universal software systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace following CarMax 5S and safety protocols.
• Provide leadership and support to associates and managers across the store.
• Follow EH&S requirements and keep work area clean and orderly.
