Job summary

ABB's facility in Missouri is hiring an Auto Punch Press Operator for a full-time, onsite role. You will operate punch press equipment, inspect parts for quality, and manage material workflow while maintaining safety standards.

The position reports to the Manufacturing Manager - NEMA and requires ability to work 8 hours daily, five days a week. Expect a physically demanding role with overtime and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and use hand/power tools.
• Safety-focused with PPE knowledge including glasses, hearing protection and gloves.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders and basic measurements.
• Physical stamina to stand/walk for extended periods and overtime.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality on full shifts.
• Willingness to complete training on all steps and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch press equipment safely and verify safety systems before runs.
• Inspect materials and finished parts for defects and ensure specs match orders.
• Direct material flow through straighteners/ feeders and monitor lubrication.
• Maintain safety compliance, document actions, and report injuries or near misses.
