Job summary

R&M Manufacturing in Buffalo, MN is seeking a Punch Press Operator to set up, operate and maintain punch press equipment. You will shape and form metal parts, monitor quality and ensure production runs safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and job packets.
• Proficient with measuring tools.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with punch press operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch press machines.
• Setup tools, feeders, coilers and coil straighteners.
• Inspect and record part dimensions per quality plan and customer specifications.
• Recognize, report, and troubleshoot causes when parts do not conform to customer specifications.
• Unload and package finished parts for next operation.
• Remove and clear scrap from press and work area as needed.
• Report part counts and labor accurately and in a timely manner.
• Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform other tasks as assigned and required.
