Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a qualified Press Operator for our Kansas City, Missouri plant. The role focuses on monitoring a 1,000 Ton automatic press, loading appropriate coils, and performing quality inspections to meet JES and quality standards.

You will record data in Plex ERP, complete inspection sheets, and maintain a clean, safe work area. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, at least one year of manufacturing experience, and the ability to read and understand

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to read and interpret job element sheets and use gages.

Responsibilities

• Monitors up to 1,000 Ton automatic presses to ensure quality stampings per JES and quality standards.
• References production orders in Plex ERP and loads correct coils for stamping.
• Operates with safety in mind, performs housekeeping, and completes paperwork and operator inspection sheets.
• Cross-trains on multiple work centers and supports plant flow to meet daily/weekly production targets.
• Meets daily production requirements and supports team as needed.
