Job summary

ABB is seeking a 2nd shift Utility at the St. Louis Stamping Plant. The role involves operating die sets and press line equipment, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintaining safety while meeting production targets.

You will follow written work instructions, inspect parts for burrs and defects, verify blueprints and tags, and document outcomes. The position reports to the Manufacturing Manager - NEMA and is onsite with shift premiums.

Qualifications

• Follow ABB safety policies and wear PPE as required.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; stand for long periods and work with demanding production schedules.
• Operate press-line equipment and handle hand/power tools safely.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and tags; perform quality checks.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report injuries or incidents.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability, including overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential functions for 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with accommodations as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and hazard communication requirements.
• Inspect parts for burrs, chips, and defects; match parts to blueprints.
• Verify inventory tags and coil numbers; ensure quality standards.
• Read and follow written instructions; complete required documentation.
• Maintain attendance and work overtime to meet production demands.
