Job summary

First Chicago Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Auto Liability Claims Specialist in the Chicago, IL area. The role focuses on investigation, determination of coverage, and timely, cost-efficient resolution of first and third party auto property damage claims.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of auto liability and PD claims experience, with 5 years for hybrid consideration, and possesses strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years of auto liability and PD claims experience required.
• Non-Standard Auto Claims experience is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years experience in auto liability and PD claims for Hybrid consideration.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of policies, procedures, state rules and regulations; license to adjust claims if required.

Responsibilities

• Review each file to determine action and disposition of a loss.
• Investigate thoroughly and document file activity including liability and damages.
• Negotiate first and third party claims after investigation and analysis.
• Work with internal/external customers to gather evidence and establish facts.
• Prioritize work to ensure prompt resolution of claims and notify underwriting of adverse information.
• Prepare and present claim evaluations for settlement authority.
