First Chicago Insurance Company seeks an experienced Auto Liability Claims Specialist to join our Bedford Park and Oak Brook offices. The role targets professionals with auto liability and nonstandard auto claims experience who will be compensated as professionals.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in auto liability and PD claims, with strong investigation, coverage analysis, and prompt, economical resolution of claims.

Qualifications

• 2 years previous auto liability and PD claims experience required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in auto liability and PD claims for hybrid consideration.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• General working knowledge of policies, file procedures, state rules and regulations.
• Ability to pass written examinations to become a licensed Claims Adjuster.

Responsibilities

• Review and determine actions on each file to support final disposition.
• Conduct thorough investigations and document file activity including liability and damages.
• Handle first and third party liability claims after investigation and analysis.
• Work with internal and external customers to develop evidence and establish facts.
• Prioritize work to ensure prompt resolution of claims.
• Prepare and present claim evaluations for settlement authority.
• Notify Underwriting of adverse information uncovered.
