Job summary

Pridgeon & Clay in Grand Rapids, MI seeks an Automatic Press Operator for third shift. You will operate automatic presses, prepare setups, and troubleshoot to ensure quality and productivity. You’ll also handle documentation, 5S, and lean initiatives while supporting safe, efficient production.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, plus press experience, mechanical aptitude, and ability to lift 50 lb. Sign-on bonus included; shift differential applies. Training on multiple shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Nine months of experience setting up and operating automatic presses.
• Ability to prove mechanical inclination, computer literacy and basic math.
• Willingness to attend off-site training and train on any shift.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic presses and run setups per instructions.
• Prepare presses and work sites for setup and adjust feeders and stock.
• Load, unload, and move coils safely and efficiently.
• Read production paperwork and complete tags and reports.
• Support 5S and lean initiatives and assist with changeovers.
